How a digital poster is installed

Most installation problems are decided before the screen arrives - by the doorway it cannot fit through, the ceiling that cannot take the load, or the socket that is not there. This is what to check for each method.

The four methods

Floor-standing

What it needs: A level floor and a socket nearby. Most of our posters ship on castors.

Best for: Aisle ends, entrances, lobbies - anywhere the position may change.

Check: Measure doorways and lifts. A 640 x 1920 mm cabinet needs a clear path, not just a clear floor.

Hanging

What it needs: A secure ceiling mount or window-frame bracket. Steel wires or chains.

Best for: Storefront windows, glass walls, atrium voids.

Check: Confirm the ceiling can take the load and that hanging bars (0.5 m, 1 m or 2 m) are specified for your drop height.

Wall-mounted

What it needs: A solid fixing surface, or a glass bracket / tension cable system for glazing.

Best for: Showrooms, narrow corridors, positions where floor space is premium.

Check: Check for cables and services behind the wall before drilling, and confirm the glass is rated if mounting to glazing.

Spliced into a wall

What it needs: Two or more cabinets with aligned fixing, plus data and power runs between them.

Best for: Feature walls, large-format branding, video-wall content.

Check: Plan power and data for every cabinet, not just the first. Our foldable range locks six units together in about five minutes.

Six checks before you order

  1. Access route: door widths, lift dimensions, stair turns - before the unit arrives.
  2. Power: socket position and whether a cable run is acceptable or battery is needed.
  3. Structure: ceiling load for hanging, floor load for heavy cabinets, glass rating for glazing mounts.
  4. Sightlines: confirm the screen does not block a required view or a fire route.
  5. Service access: leave room for front or rear module service, whichever your model uses.
  6. Content: how the screen will be updated - Wi-Fi, LAN, USB or 4G - and who manages it.

Need the drawings?

Tell us the model and the position and we will send the dimension drawing and the mounting detail, so you can confirm the site before ordering rather than after delivery.

Common questions

How much does a hanging unit weigh?

A 55" holographic hanging panel is 12 kg, so most ceilings need no extra structure. The 1000 x 250 mm ultra-slim double-sided panel is about 7 kg. Heavier floor cabinets are 39-61 kg and stay on castors.

Can one person install it?

Floor units on castors, yes - that is the point of the castors. Hanging installations need two people and a check of the ceiling fixing.

Do I need rear access for servicing?

Most of our posters are front-service, so they can sit against a wall. Outdoor LED posters support both front and rear module service. Confirm which your model uses before fixing the position.

Can I hang it from a shop window frame?

Yes, if the frame is rated for the load. Otherwise use a glass bracket or a tension cable system. Tell us the glazing type and we will specify the fixing.

How are several cabinets aligned?

Cabinets are designed for seamless alignment. The foldable range uses a magnetic detachable border and a fast-lock splicing system - six units in roughly five minutes.

What if the site has no socket?

Use a battery model. Runtime is 8 to 12 hours per charge depending on the unit - see the battery guide for what affects it.

Do you provide installation drawings?

Yes. Ask for the dimension drawing and the mounting detail for the model you are considering before you commit to a position.
